EXTRAS
 
UK Film Productions has provided extras in almost every film
we produce. We will help you find all types of crowds for
your film. Once again, like the actors and actresses, you will
need to provide as much details as possible for the type of
Extras you may need for your film clearly specifying the age
group, sex and origin. If your film requires more than 50
extras crowd, we will need at least two weeks notice.
 
If you are an extra and wish to join our team, please read
the following rules and guidelines. Please send us your
contact details with current photo for us to include in our
profile.
 
Rules to follow:

Health and safety are paramount!
Remember that a film unit, location or set are a place of
work:

"They must be treated with total respect by all film extra or supporting artiste's"

Health & Safety, is considered to be of the highest
importance within the UK film and television industry and
any mis-behaviour on your part will lead to your instant
dismissal from the production without pay.

A film set or location is highly organised with numerous
individuals or groups of crew responsible for their own
section's and although at times it appears like chaos,
each crew member knows exactly what to do and when to do it.

"Don't get in the way of cast or crew.

Follow these guidelines very carefully:

1. Drive very carefully in & around the film unit.
2. Always be polite & civil to cast & crew.
3. Don't swear. Only speak to cast if they speak to
you first.
4. Never ask cast for an autograph, see the person
in charge of you.
5. Listen to all instructions and follow them carefully.
6. Don't talk on set, especially when the 1st A.D is talking.
7. Never talk during action unless you're requested to do
so.
8. Don't touch technical equipment or props unless asked
to do so.
9. Never assist a member of crew to do their job.
10. Don't speak to members of the cast when on set,
they are far too busy.
11. Never run on set unless requested to do so.
12. If you're told not to go in an area then there is a reason 'danger!"
13. Stay in your position until told that you can relax.
14. Never leave the film unit or location without permission.
15. If a crew member is busy, don't interrupt them.
16. Don't abuse any prop that you may be given.
17. When in hired film costume, ensure that you take
great care of it.
18. At the end of the day hand back all props & costumes
that you have.
19. If in costume remember that's all it is eg. you're not a real Policeman.
20. If a member of public asks for help or advice get a
member of crew.
21. At meal times remember that the cast & crew eat first.
22. Never take a camera on set. At all other times ask if it's
ok to take a photograph.
23. Only park your vehicle in the areas designated for
supporting artiste's.
